The proposed renovation of the infrastructure of the grandstands will include the building of a Plaza of paving bricks at the main approaches to Doubleday Field, the relocation of the public bathroom facilities to the East side of the Grandstands and the creation of a Gallery under the West side of the grandstand.

The plaza that will be built around the outside of the Grandstands will be used to separate the fired clay facade of the building from the black asphalt of the parking lot. In addition, the placement of small trees in planters around the edge of the plaza will act as a barrier to motor vehicle traffic while providing visitors a place to rest.

The relocation of the public bathroom facilities to the East side of the Grandstands will improve the aesthetics of the approach from Main Street. The gallery built in this vacated space will become a location where the history of Doubleday Field and pictures from the various Hall of Fame games may be displayed.

In addition, the electrical infrastructure of the grandstands will be updated to allow for architectural lighting to improve its nighttime appearance and reduce the amount of vandalism experienced.
